Md Delowar Hussain (Electronic Engineer) is an experienced engineer and researcher specializing in Triboelectric Nanogenerators (TENGs) for self-powered IoT applications. With over five years of expertise in TENG design, embedded systems, and power management circuits, he develops sustainable solutions that harvest energy from daily activities like walking or movement.
During his PhD at the University of Surrey, he introduced a novel interdigitated array electrode-based TENG (IDA-FTENG) with a charge regeneration mechanism that enhances power output by over 100-fold, as published in Nano Energy (Hussain et al., 2024).
Currently working as an Electronic Engineer at Z-Pulse, a University of Surrey spin-out, he leads the integration of TENG-powered sensors with IoT systems for autonomous and efficient sensing platforms.
His future research aims to advance fabric-based, biocompatible TENGs for wearable healthcare applications, focusing on energy efficiency, material safety, and system integration. Driven by sustainability and innovation, Delowar combines expertise in electronics, programming, and nanogenerator fabrication to address real-world challenges in healthcare and IoT.
