Professor S. Ravi P. Silva is a Founder and Chief Scientific officer (CSO) at Z-PULSE, bringing extensive experience and industry knowledge. With a proven track record of spinning out four companies and licensing numerous products, Prof. Silva has secured over £45 million in research funding and raised more than £35 million for spinout activities. His ventures, including Silveray and Surrey NanoSystems, employ over 40 staff and deliver products to business customers.
Prof. Silva has authored over 700 papers and holds over 50 patents, establishing him as a world-leading expert in nanotechnology and electronic devices. Currently, he is a Professor and the Director of the Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) at the University of Surrey. Prof. Silva brings a deep understanding of device technology necessary for Tribo-electric nanogenerators and sensors, alongside significant experience in spinout formation, team building, and leadership. His extensive network in the venture capital sector further enhances his contributions.
